Live Coverage from AHIMA Convention Continues Today and Tomorrow

Live reporting from the 2016 national convention of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) continues today on Talk Ten Tuesdays, the weekly Internet radio program produced by ICD10monitor.

In addition to the long-running regularly scheduled Talk Ten Tuesdays broadcast heard at 10 a.m. EST, two other broadcasts will air today, with a third and final broadcast taking place tomorrow.

Nationally recognized healthcare leaders and professionals have already settled in for the 88th annual AHIMA convention and exhibit, which kicked off on Saturday and will wrap up officially on Thursday in Baltimore.

Wolters Kluwer Law & Business is sponsoring the three days of live broadcasts.

Buck said that the live broadcasts are originating from the Wolters Kluwer booth on the convention floor in the Baltimore Convention Center. Maria Bounos, the practice lead for coding and reimbursement solutions for Wolters Kluwer, is co-hosting.

“The range of subject matter is a reflection of the issues facing the nation’s healthcare system,” Buck said. “Even though the transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 dominated the healthcare news coverage last year, the topics this year are focusing on electronic health records (EHRs), reimbursement challenges, emerging payment technologies, hierarchical condition categories, and risk adjustment management in the shift to value-based care.”
